As a Visionary Social Entrepreneur she has built an unparalleled reputation for her innovative thinking and her strategic approach to women and business development in Africa. Through her genuine leadership, she is building global influence, catalysing change and driving innovation. She has built a credible network of high profile leaders and decision makers across Africa.
Furthermore, Madelein is an international public speaker for numerous institutions and training facilitator for academic institutions, multinational companies, international institutions as well as Governments across America, Europe and Africa. She has shared the speaking platforms with many high profile leaders from around the globe. As a gender strategist, she has presented policy recommendations on various gender and business issues at platforms such as: Southern African Research and Documentation Centre (SARDC), China-Africa Cooperation at China-Africa Think Tanks Forum II, China-Africa Business Council (Hong Kong), Investment Climate and Business Environment Research Fund (ICBE), Vital Voices - USA, Strategic Framework Committee on gender and women’s economic empowerment at the Department of Trade and Industry – South Africa.
As a conference convener, she has hosted world class African and international economic conferences and lead various women’s Trade Missions across the world. As an entrepreneur, Madelein has put together a diverse team of Experts and Professionals capable of providing strategic solutions to issues related to business, leadership, governance and development at all levels of government structures as well as corporate sector.
She sits on boards of numerous institutions in South Africa and Africa and connected with many important key leaders and decision makers.
Beside a Bcom in Accounting, she holds an Honors Degree in Development Studies at University of Western Cape (UWC), South Africa and in her hunger to succeed in business, she is completing an Executive MBA at the EIDC School of Management, Slovenia (2018). She is a Professional Fellow with the U.S Department of State at the Michigan State University on Women economic empowerment, Strengthening Leadership Capacity and Professional Skills.
