He has also been the advisor to The Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) in Ghana since 2005 facilitating Danish foreign direct investments and partnerships in Ghana. Presently, Felix Quansar is a principal consultant of Premier Resource Consulting, a consulting and research firm, which specializes in industrial development and resource planning and organization for industrial projects and business enterprises as well as skills development. He has invaluable knowledge and experiences within wide range of industrial sectors and activities. He has played a leading role in the recent Industrial Policy Review Process to formulate the current industrial policy for Ghana. He also led the advocacy on “Promoting of Regulatory Environment for Susu (micro-saving) operation in Ghana”, leading to the integration of Susu into the main stream financial sector and regulated under the supervision of the Central Bank. He also led the advocacy on “Solar Energy a Viable Alternative Power in Ghana” to improve prospects of solar application and promote widespread application of solar energy as alternative energy source in Ghana.
He has a long track of rich experience in Industrial and Business Development Studies including Feasibility, Pre-Investment and Opportunity Studies, Technical Audit and Process Re-engineering, Performance Management and Benchmarking, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Audit, Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production, Investment Planning and Financing, Micro-finance, Appraisal of Industrial Projects, Monitoring and Evaluation of Industrial Projects and Professional Training and Technical Skills Development Programmes.
He has carried out assignments for both International and Local Organisations including United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), The Private Sector Development Programme and the Business Sector Programme of the Danish International Development Assistance (DANIDA), International Finance Corporation (IFC), AFRASIA Business Council, Government of Ghana (GOG) and World Bank (WB) funded projects. He has also conducted research activities in Denmark, United Kingdom and Ghana, in the field of Technological Transformation and Adaptation Processes and Practices, Innovation Capabilities and Benchmarking, Industrial Processes, E-commerce and Improvement of Artisanal Fisheries.
Felix Quansar is a member of the Board of Directors of DENG Limited. He was also the Director on GAM Wood Processing Company Limited, Director Alternate to the Board of Waste Recycling Ghana Ltd and Danafco Pharmaceutical Limited. He was a member of the University Council of the University of Wisconsin and the Chairman of the Development and Planning Committee.
